With over $1 billion at the box office, The Super Mario Bros Movie has become a fan-fueled phenomenon. It’s more than just a hit, it’s a hopeful sign of what’s to come for Nintendo and video game movies alike.
Super Mario Odyssey isn’t just my favourite Mario game, it might be my favourite thing, period. With its vibrant worlds, masterful movement, and sheer joy baked into every moment, Odyssey reminded me what it means to have fun with a game, even as an adult. It may not be the best game ever, but it’s my best game ever… and that’s what truly counts.
